A Study to Evaluate the Dosage and Frequency of Aspirin in Obese Pregnant Women at Risk for Preeclampsia

Official Title: Platelet Inhibition With Variable Dosages and Frequency of Aspirin in Obese Pregnant Women: A Randomized Trial (ASA)

Purpose:

This study is being done to compare dosages and timing of aspirin administration in women who are obese and at risk for preeclampsia.

Eligibility criteria:

• Females older than 18 years of age
• BMI greater than 30
• The patient is between 12 weeks 0 days and 16 weeks 0 days of gestation at the time of enrollment. Gestational age will be determined by last menstrual period, confirmed with a first trimester ultrasound
