A Study Using the Calypso Knee System

Official Title: Evaluation of the Calypso Knee System for Symptom Relief in Subjects with Medial Knee Osteoarthritis

Purpose:

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the results of the Calypso Knee System when used to treat symptomatic osteoarthritis of the medial compartment of the knee. This study will examine how safe and effectively the Calypso Knee System performs in reducing or eliminating knee pain and increasing knee function.

Eligibility criteria:

You may be eligible if you:
1. Between the ages of 25 to 65
2. Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) less than 35
3. Weigh less than 300 lbs
4. Have a knee flexion greater than or equal to 90⁰ and less than or equal to 140⁰
5. Have clinical symptoms - such as pain primarily localized to the medial aspect of the study knee and generally exacerbated by weight bearing
6. Failed at least 6 months of non-operative treatment
