Modifiable Mechanisms Linking Chronic Pain to Suicide Risk
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to better understand how certain thoughts, feelings, and responses to pain may be related to thoughts of suicide in people with chronic pain.
Participants will complete an online screening session that will involve a short interview and questionnaires which will take approximately 3.5 hours and a 2.5-hour in-person lab visit that will include EMG and EEG and a pain pressure test. After, participants will be asked to complete daily app-based questionnaires on their phone for 21 days.
