Emotional Regulation among Distressed Young Adults

Official Title Emotion Regulation Training to Reduce Cardiovascular Disease Risk Among Distressed Young Adults: A Single-Session Design

Purpose

This study looks at how learning to manage emotions can improve your mental and physical health.

You will meet with a research team member for an interview about your mental health. If you qualify, we will take a few drops of blood from a finger prick and check your heart rate and blood pressure. You will also learn some emotional regulation skills for handling tough emotions and fill out surveys about yourself. For two weeks after, you'll answer short surveys on your phone five times a day. Then you'll come back for one more short visit.
