Online Caregiver Focus Group Study
Official Title
Development of Internet-Based Mind-Body Trainings for Spousal Caregivers of Persons Living with Dementia (Caregiver iMBT)
Purpose
The main goal of this study is to better understand the experiences of caregivers. We are interested in the mental and physical health of spousal caregivers of persons living with dementia. We will learn about caregiver experiences using online focus groups, which are discussions where a group of people get together to talk about a particular topic. The information we learn from the focus groups will be used to adapt existing internet-based mind-body interventions to promote caregiver wellbeing.
Study participation will typically take place over 3 to 4 months. The total time commitment will be up to 6 hours, involving a brief eligibility screening, two 2-hour focus group sessions, and online questionnaires lasting up to 1 hour.
