Children's Hobbies, Interests, and Media Use
Purpose
Purpose
Researchers at The Ohio State University are studying children's hobbies, interests, and YouTube viewing. We hope to learn more about the types of videos children watch and how those videos relate to their hobbies and interests.
What will I do?
If you have a child ages 3-8 who watches YouTube using a supervised kid account (or if you are willing to create one), you will complete two online surveys over about one month. At the end of the study, you will download and securely provide your child's YouTube viewing history to the research team. Detailed instructions will be provided.
How long will participation take?
Participation lasts about one month. The study includes two surveys (about 20 minutes each) and a final viewing-history submission (about 10 minutes).
