Impact of Novel vs. Usual Brand Menthol Cigarettes on Abuse Liability
Purpose
Adults age 21+ are invited to participate in 5 study visits to understand how different menthol cigarettes compare to one another as well as their usual brand of menthol cigarettes.
Participation includes:
· Five study visits at OSU (four visits, ~3 hours each; one final visit, 2 hours) over the course of three weeks, where you'll smoke your usual brand and study cigarette products and complete surveys
· Two weeks of daily phone surveys (~7 minutes per day)
Could this study be right for you?
- currently smoke menthol cigarettes daily
- willing to abstain from nicotine, tobacco and cannabis products for 12 hours before each study visit
- own a smartphone and are willing to complete daily assessments
- able to read, speak and understand English
