Stem Cell Donor Study: Quality of Life for Parent or Child who has Donated Bone Marrow or Blood Stem Cells to Patient

Official Title HaploDonor-QoL: Donor Health-Related Quality-of-Life and Physician Decision-Making in the Context of Haploidentical Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

Purpose

The purpose of the study is to learn more about the feelings and experiences of bone marrow donors and blood stem cell donors who donated to a family member. Insights can help us improve the donation experience for others. The donation must have taken place at The Ohio State University James Comprehensive Cancer Center approximately one year ago.

A donor can only participate in either Aim 1 (focus group) or Aim 2 (telephone interview). Each study activity is completed virtually. The study is being conducted with the University of Pittsburgh research team. Compensation is provided at the end of study participation to show appreciation for your time and sharing your experiences, thoughts, and feelings.
