Neural Biomarkers of Sensory Symptoms in Autism
Purpose
This research aims to understand how sensory issues, particularly related to hearing, impact children on the autism spectrum. Using a tool called EEG, we study how their brains respond to sounds. Previous research with adults on the spectrum showed that their brains react more slowly to sounds, affecting their ability to pay attention. This protocol investigates if a similar pattern exists in children with autism.
